Flexible Pre-feeder Saves Luff Tapes

Schaefer’s Opening Pre-Feeder 45-07 allows you to save your luff tape from damage during a rushed maneuver, thanks to the fact that it can be reopened and re-engaged on the luff tape in the event things go haywire. This not only saves your sail, but also time around the windward mark, by allowing you to keep hoisting the headsail without having to take the entire thing back on deck. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and then hardcoat anodized, the 45-07 can be opened with the pull of a simple pin. It is fully adjustable for use with a variety of luff tape sizes and strong enough to handle the largest sails in the world without bending or jamming. $365.
