The ResQLink 406 MHz personal locator beacon (PLB) is less than 4in long and weighs a mere 4.6 oz. In addition to its 406 MHz rescue beacon, which broadcasts a victim’s GPS position via satellite, the ResQLink also has a 121.5MHz homing beacon and an LED strobe to help pinpoint the victim’s exact location. With the addition of the optional 406Link.com subscription service, the beacon can be tested through the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system to ensure it is functioning correctly. There is also an integrated push-button test for the ResQLink’s internal electronics and GPS.
