Sea Eagle 370

Kayaks are a great way to explore a new anchorage, but stowing them on deck takes up valuable space. The solution? An inflatable kayak, of course. The 370 from Sea Eagle weighs only 32lb when it is deflated and measures a mere 31in-by-19in-by-8in. However, blow it up and the 12ft 4in kayak can hold an impressive three people or 650lb of gear. The company claims it only takes 8 minutes to get ready to splash, and there are bow and stern grab lines for tying up once it’s inflated. The tough 38mil PolyKrylar hull material is made for standing up to the sun and salt water. The 370 is NMMA certified.

Boat Review: Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490

True innovation in monohull sailboat design can be a bit elusive these days. That’s not to say that there are no more new ideas, but it does seem that many new tweaks and introductions are a bit incremental: let’s say evolutionary rather than revolutionary. Just when it seems ...read more
