Doctor Your Sails

If one of your sails gets a rip or the stitches start coming out, you want to repair it right away–especially if you’re just embarking on a cruise or are about to start a race. These nifty Sailkits from Dr. Sails contain enough sailcloth for a repair, along with gloves, an applicator and a fast-curing adhesive that’ll even stick under water. The Sailkit Club has a Dacron patch, the Race includes a laminated patch, the Pro features a rectangle of black carbon fiber cloth, and the Spi boasts a square of white nylon. The small packs take up little room and make an ideal addition to your emergency sail repair kit. They are distributed in the United States by Harken Inc.
