You can protect the environment while protecting your propeller and shaft from electrochemical corrosion by swapping out your traditional zincs—which contain small amounts of highly toxic cadmium—with cadmium-free aluminum or magnesium Martyr Clamp Shaft Anodes from CMP Global. Aluminum anodes work in salt water and brackish water, while magnesium should be used in fresh water. Martyr anodes include a steel insert to ensure a tight fit and complete contact for the life of the anode.
