A Personal Rescue Beacon
ACR’s ResQLink personal locator beacon weighs just 5.4oz, measures 4.5in long, and features an integrated 66-channel GPS, which allows it to include a position fix in the digital 406MHz distress message it sends to rescuers via the COSPAS-SARSAT satellite constellations. Its lightweight Class 2 lithium battery can run for more than 24 hours at -4 degrees F, while a pair of loops secures the unit to your life jacket.
A 121.5MHz homing beacon helps on-site SAR teams pinpoint your exact location, as does the system’s integrated strobe. To activate, simply deploy the ResQLink’s antenna and push a single button. A floating version is also available.
