Keen on making the leap to ocean cruising, but not sure where to start? The World Cruising Club is offering a two-day Ocean Sailing Seminar in Annapolis, MD, on March 23-24 to help you prepare. The seminar, supported by SAIL, will cover topics such as outfitting your boat, selecting sails and rigging, installing electronics and communications equipment and planning for safety on board. Though the emphasis will be on the Caribbean 1500, the information can be applied to any ocean crossing. Price of registration includes two nights accommodation and meals in Annapolis plus full lecture notes, a free copy of SAIL and a copy of Advanced Bluewater Cruising by Hal Sutphen.
