ANDROMEDA LA DEA is the timeless Perini.  She is a magic blend of classic hull lines and traditional yachting ambiance, with state of the art sail handling systems, machinery, electronics and communication equipment.  Since her original launch in 1990 as one of the world’s largest and most technologically advanced sailing yachts, ANDROMEDA has had the best of care and consistent upgrading, including three major refits, which have maintained her position at the leading edge of yachting technology.  In every detail, her accommodations on deck and below exude the old world charm and attention to detail that has been long lost in most modern yacht building, while providing all amenities for gracious living aboard.

In 2000, after her first circumnavigation and a decade of cruising, ANDROMEDA underwent a comprehensive refit and rebuilding of all operating systems, plus a thorough updating of her sailhandling systems.  Spars were converted to Nirvana hydraulic carbon in-boom furling, new carbon fiber headstay, staysail and fisherman stays were added, main & mizzen captive reel halyards were converted to hydraulic power.  These refinements are found on the most recently launched Perini Navi Yachts.

In 2002, ANDROMEDA’s original ABS A1 Safety Classification was upgraded to CISR Unrestricted; leaving her fully MCA Compliant for carrying passengers on all oceans of the globe.  The Yacht remains fully under survey, with current certifications.

During her 2004 refit in Italy, further improvements were carried out including extension of the flybridge to allow for her custom Jacuzzi and sun deck area, plus a fixed awning over the after deck.  The flybridge modification created one of the most comfortable and congenial entertaining areas on the bridge of any Perini Navi afloat!  The interior décor was also completely renewed in 2004, with the highest quality fabrics throughout, new onyx in the heads and redecorating in an elegantly understated style. Also at this time hull lights were added, which illuminate the waters surrounding the yacht, to dramatic affect.

ANDROMEDA underwent another comprehensive refit in New Zealand, 2006. All new engines and generators were installed, she received all new Doyle Sails, all captive reel winches were upgraded to hydraulic, a new hydraulic retractable passarelle was installed, and a new Audio/Visual system that will rival the most sophisticated land based systems – anywhere! 

As part of her 2008 refit, all standing rigging and fittings were replaced with new, a new cathodic protection system was installed, new batteries, aft cockpit awning replaced, two new Lewmar Hydraulic open drum spinnaker winches installed, new tender and two Laser sailing dinghies, plus the air conditioning and refrigeration systems were completely overhauled.

In sum, ANDROMEDA LA DEA has had benefit of all technological advances that have been achieved in yachting since her original launch.  The Yacht has been maintained and consistently improved, to perfection.  She is indeed, the timeless Perini!

Simply stated, the interior accommodations aboard ANDROMEDA LA DEA are a study in practical, understated elegance.  Her interior is crafted in varnished teak, accented by mahogany, marble and onyx, with the highest quality fabrics and soft goods. 

Her lower deck entertaining area incorporates the aft cockpit area, full width main salon, wrap around bar and formal dining area.  The ergonomics of each area cultivate congenial relaxation, while the layout creates a sense of open spaciousness.  ANDROMEDA has earned the reputation of having among the best entertaining areas of any yacht in her size range.

The Aft Cockpit has three separate dining/lounge areas, a full wet bar, day head, stair to the flybridge  and two entrances to the Main Salon. The Main Salon has comfortable lounge seating in sofas and arm chairs, all in good view of the custom fireplace and 50” plasma screen which is hidden behind a retractable oil painting.  The “U” shaped Mahogany bar with seats for six, leads to the Dining Area, forward to port with an oval shaped inlaid table and seating for formal dining by eight.

She has also earned an enviable charter reputation, with a following of repeat clients that know how to appreciate her many virtues.  It might be easy to find a larger Perini Navi at twice the price, but it would be difficult to find a more elegantly detailed, state of the art updated yacht with her classic lines and ambiance, anywhere.
