Laser

Photo of Laser

The Laser Family of one-design sailboats encompasses 3 different mast and sail combinations that share the same hull. The hull used for all three is designed for simplicity and performance. The hull, blades and rig combine to create the ultimate sailing machine for each sailor. Every Laser, Radial and Laser 4.7 is identical and strict one-design class rules ensure that remains true. For each race it is the sailor, not the boat that wins.

The Laser is a challenging boat that rewards athleticism, subtle steering and trimming techniques as well as tactical excellence.

The Radial is the perfect boat for smaller singlehanded and youth sailors. The Radial features a smaller sail and a shorter mast section with the same hull, deck fittings and blades as the Laser.

The Laser 4.7 is the perfect boat for youth sailors who would like to stay in a singlehanded boat but may not be big enough to sail the Radial. The laser 4.7 features a smaller sail and mast section than the Radial with the same hull, deck fittings and blades as the Laser and Laser Radial.

The Laser and Radial are both sailed in the Olympic Games, while the Laser 4.7 is perfect for transitioning from slower and more stable learn-to-sail boats.

SB3

Photo of SB3
The SB3 has taken the sailing world by storm! The SB3 is striking in its simplicity. Easy to trailer, easy to rig, and a blast to sail in a light breeze or heavy air. It has a lifting keel for easy launching and retrieval by hoist or ramp. The cockpit is well laid out and open. “Sit-in” bars on the rails discourage hiking allowing the skill of the sailor to rule as opposed to the weight of the crew. The hull itself planes beautifully. The gnav reverse vang allows great control without sacrificing space under the boom. Finally, the SB3 features a powerful rig that is adjustable and a mast that is easy to step. Get into what is sure to be the next greatest sportboat in North America!

Bahia

Photo of Bahia
The Bahia is the perfect boat from “learning to sail” to club racing. An easy to use design helps you get the most out of your time on the water, but not at the expense of performance. With the option to sail, row or motor, everyone in the family will find something enjoyable. To race, simply remove the storage box and you are off to become the next number one! If you are out for a picnic, the Bahia can easily be beached because of its durable roto-molded construction. The Bahia is set to become the next classic family sailboat.

Vapor Optimist

Photo of Vapor Optimist
The Optimist dinghy is one of the most popular sailboats for youth. LaserPerformance has been producing Optimists for more then ten years. In late 2009, LaserPerformance brought their Optimist production back to Rhode Island and launched the new Vapor. The Vapor hull is constructed from bi axial stitched fiberglass cloth with a +/- 45º orientation. This allows for maximum torsional strength, stiffness and durability. It is available in two versions—the Vapor and Vapor XD. The Vapor features the same components currently available on LaserPerformance’s Optimist. The Vapor XD comes equipped with the very best components from Harken, Ronstan, TEB, and Optimax. Both versions share the same hull.

Pico

Photo of Pico
The Pico is best described as an all around recreational boat. To describe the Pico as a beginner's boat would seriously underrate this very competent single-hander. The Pico offers a combination of qualities rarely found in one boat. The Pico is roomy, durable, easy to launch, and is sailable by one to three people. A new manufacturing process (sandwich rotational molding) and a top production team have come together to produce a boat so simple to sail, that a child could master it in a day. The Pico inspires confidence in newcomers and thrills those who race it!

Just shy of 13 feet, the Zuma is easy to strap on your car and handle on or off the water.

Club 420

Photo of Club 420
Twenty years ago we developed the Club 420 in response to the growing need for a more durable, high performance, double-handed racing dinghy that could stand up to the rigors of club and collegiate programs. Ideal for crews ranging in size from 220–310 lbs, the Club 420 is manageable for sailors coming out of the Optimist class and enables young sailors to learn teamwork, trapeze and spinnaker techniques. The Club 420 is simple and safe for beginning sailors and yet challenging enough for collegiate All-Americans.
