Six women's skiffs and seven mixed multihulls are under consideration.

Multihull contenders include the Hobie Tiger, Nacra F16, Nacra 17, Tornado, Hobie 16, Spitfire S and AHPC Viper F16.

Around 44 sailors from 23 countries are taking part. Criteria include general maneuvers, racing a course, free sailing around a defined course and capsize recovery.

Evaluation results will go to the Equipment Committee and Events Committee at the 2012 ISAF Mid-Year Meeting in Stresa, Italy from 3-6 May. The ISAF Council will then make a decision, taking into consideration the recommendations of these committees.
