Panerai Classic Yachts: Head of the Class
This past summer, some of the most beautiful yachts in the world took part in the annual Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge North American Circuit, which is comprised of the Corinthian Classic Yacht Regatta in Marblehead, Massachusetts; the Opera House Cup off Nantucket; and the Museum of Yachting Classic Yacht Regatta on Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay. Winning this year’s series overall was the 1938-vintage 68-foot S&S yawl Black Watch (above left), skippered by co-owner Trevor Fetter. Other standouts in this year’s series included the 30-foot Vixen—the smallest boat to ever compete in all three regattas—and the 37-foot Carriacou sloop Summer Wind.
