Harken Crossbow Self-Taking Jib Track

The same “pivoting-track” technology Harken originally developed for grand prix raceboats is now available in a smaller configuration for high-performance dinghies, skiffs and multihulls under 20ft. The key to the “Crossbow” self-tacking jib system, as it’s called, is a hinged curved track that aligns to the load and thereby both reduces friction and increases load capacity. The hardcoat-anodized track is available in 20mm or 50mm sizes. The car includes a set of captive Torlon bearings, to further reduce friction and facilitate easy maintenance. $705.
