High-Efficiency Autopilot Drive

The Simrad DD15 autopilot drive features a compact flat-wound DC electric motor, an elegant planetary reduction gear and a built-in rudder-angle feedback arm. The output torque is equivalent to 330 pounds at the end of a 3ft tiller, an approach that is more energy efficient than either a hydraulic drive or a worm-gear system. Designed for boats in the 30-45ft range, the DD15 is compatible with the new B&G Triton T-41 and its remote pilot control, while its Simnet architecture allows you to plug in a B&G RC-42 compass and handheld Remote Pilot control. The DD15 also interfaces with a Zeus multifunction display. $2,199. Simrad
