The Stuff of Dreams Made Real

Sailboats have long been among man’s most beautiful creations, and we are proud to present some of the finest examples in SAIL’s Flagships Gallery—a collection of the biggest and most luxurious models currently offered by the world’s premiere sailboat builders. These are the boats that stop conversations in mid-sentence, that turn heads as their rigs first come into view from a distance and then round the breakwater on their way into harbor.

These boats are the stuff of dreams, boats that inspire thoughts of “someday” and “what if’” in sailors. Bigger isn’t always better, but bigger certainly goes a long way when it comes to comfort, power and magnificence. There’s also nothing quite like the splendor of a large yacht on a mooring, at the dock or under sail—not to mention the feel of being aboard in a fresh breeze under a press of canvas.

In recent years, naval architects and the world’s leading boatbuilders have revolutionized sailboat construction and design. The result has been a combination of luxury and performance that would have been inconceivable in years past. We hope you enjoy the boats featured in these pages—boats that are nothing less than a marvel to behold, sculpted through an amalgam of human ingenuity and the rigors of the sea itself.
