Wing sails? Check. Full foiling? Check. Crash helmets? Check and check.

This year’s International C Class Catamaran Championship—aka, the Little America’s Cup—was once the test bed for many of the technologies that have come to define AC34. However, now the little guys are following in big brother’s footsteps by also taking to the air, a risky proposition aboard these carbon speedsters, where crew weight is such big part of the equation. Here we see Volvo Ocean Race winner Franck Cammas and crew Louis Viat training aboard Groupama C in preparation for the regatta, which takes place September 22-88 in Falmouth, England.
