New boats, new Routes: Horizon Yacht Charters has expanded two of its Caribbean fleets, welcoming a Bavaria Vision 46 to the BVI and a 2012 Lagoon 421 and 2012 Leopard 39 (owner version) to St. Maarten. For charter guests looking to visit more islands in a single vacation, Horizon now also offers one-way charters from Antigua to Dominica for an additional $795. horizonyachtcharters.com

Return of the Big cat: After a hiatus from the fleet, The Moorings welcomes back its biggest cat: the 6500. With five guest cabins and five heads, this luxurious crewed yacht can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests and two crew, with plenty of room to dine in the saloon or at the large outdoor dining table. Guests can sunbathe on the twin trampolines or swim from the wide swim platforms aft. The 6500 will be available for crewed charter in the BVI starting October 1. moorings.com

Crewed Yachts for late starts: Since 1999, Latesail has been helping charter sailors find great last-minute deals on bareboats. Now they’ve created a new website, latesailcrewed.com, where charter guests can find last-minute deals on crewed yachts as well. The website aggregates contact and availability information from crewed yachts worldwide, including the BVI, the Grenadines, St. Martin, the Bahamas, Greece, Italy and Tahiti. LateSail founder Dan Lockyer explains, “The LateSail philosophy has now worked its way through to the crewed yacht industry, with boats realizing it is better to offer a last-minute discount rather than spending a week on the dock.”
