Flagship: Leopard 58

South African yard Robertson & Caine has been a major force in the cruising multihull market ever since linking with charter giant The Moorings a decade ago. Its latest design is the Leopard 58, which will be known as the Moorings 5800 when in charter livery. Whichever way you look at this boat, it’s impressive, starting with a flybridge big enough for a serious dinner party; a bridgedeck that can be treated as a massive living space or broken up into a saloon and a pair of double cabins; and up to four double cabins—each with an ensuite head/shower—in the hulls. The variety of layout options should keep even the most persnickety of owners content. The forward cockpit debuted on the Leopard 44 is reprised here, for a total of three distinct outdoor spaces—four if you count the trampoline. Hull #1 should be easy to spot at the U.S. Sailboat Show in Annapolis this October.
