Hull number 1 of the largest yacht ever offered by J Boats left the builder’s yard in early August on a truck headed to San Diego for commissioning. The blue-hulled yacht has been carefully configured by its owner for shorthanded sailing and for extended cruising in the South Pacific. It boasts a carbon spar from Hall Spars, a complete hydraulics package from Lewmar, and an all-mahogany interior with many owner-specified appointments. Hull number 2 is scheduled to launch at the end of the year.
