Hull #1 of this new design from the board of Judel/Vrolijk was delivered early in July. Both hull and deck are made of an epoxy and E-glass sandwich and carbon-fiber reinforcements are used extensively throughout. The coachroof has a sleek low profile, and there is a wide choice of interior layouts. There are also three keel options. The standard deep-draft keel draws just over 9 feet; an optional lifting keel reaches down to 11 1/2 feet. The triple-spreader rig has rod rigging, and a hydraulic adjuster provides excellent control of the split backstay.
